New UK GAAP – Change is here
For periods beginning on or after 1 January 2015, new Financial Reporting Standards (FRS 101, 102, 103, 104 and 105) came into force, bringing with them a number of new options for all UK entities and groups.

This one day classroom course focusses on tax accounting under FRS 102. Through presentation and group discussions, participants will gain an understanding of the basics of financial reporting for income taxes under FRS 102, as well as an in-depth knowledge of complex issues arising under the standard.

The Tax Accounting under FRS 102 one day interactive classroom course introduces the concepts and principles under Section 29 of FRS 102 and will also look at some of the more complex tax accounting areas.

The course is facilitated by Deloitte specialists who bring their own tax accounting experience to the training. It is a highly interactive session in which participants are encouraged to share their questions and experiences.
This course is suitable for tax specialists who:

  • Have a good understanding of the fundamentals of accounting for income taxes in accordance with a commonly used GAAP in the UK (for example IFRS or US GAAP);
  • Would like to understand the differences between IFRS/FRS 101 and FRS 102 for tax accounting;
  • Work in a group or local entity tax function and have income tax reporting responsibilities under FRS 102;
  • Work elsewhere in the business, but have responsibility for reporting or reviewing local entity tax results for inclusion in a group who may report under FRS 102.
